Are you a new member of Diocesan Synod? Perhaps you’ve been a member for some time or thinking about attending as a member of the Diocese as an observer…
Each year the Diocese meets in Synod to elect people to represent the Diocese, consider matters from and to the Provincial Scottish Episcopal Church, consider matters related to the Diocese and gather together to share stories and worship God. Each congregation in the Diocese is entitled to send one lay representative to vote at Synod, forming the House of Laity. Clergy with commissions and licenses form the House of Clergy, with the Bishop forming the House of Bishops.
Following previous years’ introductions to Diocesan Synod sessions will be held online on Monday 23 February (7.30 – 8.30pm) and Tuesday 24 February (10-11am). The sessions will be the same and will be held on Zoom. The sessions will have identical material presented, just offered at different times.
To sign up for the sessions follow the links below, you’ll be asked to fill in a registration form and then be emailed the Zoom link. The registration links will close 2 hours before the session begins.
