Our travels began with a quiet reflective service on Wednesday lunchtime in St Rognvald’s Chapel of St Magnus Cathedral. In the evening, a Tenebrae service as we entered the Triduum together.
Maundy Thursday saw services in both St Mary’s and St Olaf’s.
Good Friday saw quiet reflection at St Mary’s and St Olaf’s were part of the walk of witness around Kirkwall.
Saturday brought a boat trip to St Mary’s Westness on Rousay.
Easter Day brought ecumenical celebrations at the pier head in Stromness and up Wideford Hill Kirkwall. Then in Stromness after breakfast at the parish church we went on to St Mary’s to celebrate, the good news that, He is risen He is risen indeed! There was also a service at St Olaf’s thank to our ministry team who enable us to enjoy regular worship across all our churches.
