A Message from the Bishop Elect

As I make my final preparations for my consecration on Thursday, this message comes to thank you all for the wave of prayer that is carrying me forward. Your cards, messages and greetings have been so welcome and encouraging. I am looking forward to meeting many of you in person on Thursday.
I am aware that the seating limit in the Cathedral means that many who wanted to come to the service will not be able. For those who live within easy travelling distance to Aberdeen, there will be another opportunity to say hello on Sunday in the Cathedral. I will be presiding and preaching at the 11.00am Eucharist, and preaching at Festal Evensong at 6.30pm, which will draw the consecration celebrations to a close.

Picturing Prayer

One of the ways I will be communicating more widely will be through a blog that offers reflections and prayers related to visual images. This blog will be called ‘Picturing Prayer’. The first entry appears today, other entries will appear weekly beginning on Monday.
Each of these posts will appear in the news section of the Diocesan Website and on the Diocesan Social Media feeds when they are published, and you can find the full list of published posts under About Us/Who We are/About the Bishop or in Life and faith/Prayer and Spirituality.
