Quiet Days and Retreats
Quiet Days and Retreats allow individuals and groups the opportunities to spend time with God and to listen to what He is saying to us away from the busyness of everyday life.
There are a number of opportunities for individuals to seek quiet days and retreats within the Diocese, and throughout the rest of Scotland. These may be organised group quiet days and retreats, such as those led by the Epiphany Group, which individuals can join, or where an individual can make their own retreat:
- The Glebe, Fetlar, Shetland (within the Diocese)
- The Bield at Blackruthven, Perth
- Cathedral of the Isles
- Emmaus House, Edinburgh
- Pluscarden Abbey
- The Coach House, Kilmuir
There are also a number of places where groups can go to spend time together in retreat:
- St Drostan’s Lodge Tarfside – low cost self catering accomodation.
A full retreat guide is available on the Provincial Website.
Some of our congregations run congregational retreats which other individuals may be welcome to join – if you are running a quiet day or retreat which has space for others to join, please contact the Diocesan office so that we can share the information.
