Having difficult conversations about migration

14th June 2018 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

City of Sanctuary Aberdeen invites you to a training event run by Oxfam.

This is a complex subject and one which arouses strong feelings as well as, for some, memories of personal experience. It’s sometimes easier to take the “let’s not get too involved” road because of this complexity. However it is important to become as involved as we can, given that migration affects or will affect us all in one way or another. This means feeling confident about how to talk about difficult subjects with people of varied views. This training, provided free by Oxfam, does precisely that. Please join in; bring a friend, or someone you might have a difficult conversation with on this subject!

Sandwiches available from 5.30pm.

Meeting in the John Skinner Centre. As you stand facing the Cathedral, go down the lane on the left hand side of the building and the John Skinner Centre is at the end of this lane.
