The year 2025 marks the 1700th anniversary of the first Ecumenical Council at Nicaea in 325 AD, a key moment in the history of Christian faith and for the ecumenical journey today. The meeting at Nicaea (now in modern day Türkiye) established a clear understanding of the nature of Christ and the centrality of his life, death and resurrection for our salvation
In the Diocese of Aberdeen and Orkney we’re having three weeks of activities around the Dioceses in May, August and November. Activities planned include bible studies activities for Friendship cafes, talks and are not limited to those three weeks.
