Aberdeen & Orkney Churches Opening their Doors as part of National Festival

Doors Open Days offer an opportunity to explore buildings in the places we live, work and explore. It is Scotland’s largest free festival which “celebrates places and stories, new and old”.

Aberdeen City’s Doors Open Days are Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September 2025. The following Churches are taking part:

  • St Mary’s, Carden Place (Saturday)
  • St John the Evangelist, Crown Terrace – entrance on St John’s Place (Saturday)
  • St Margaret of Scotland, Gallowgate (Saturday)
  • St Andrew’s, King Street (Saturday and Sunday)

Churches in neighbouring Dioceses are open on the Aberdeenshire (20-21 September), and Moray (13-14 September). More information can be found on the Doors Open Day website.
